The National Science Camp from Indigenous Services Canada is taking applications! Camp activities will include science and technology, traditional science, and local cultural activities.
When: August 19-23, 2024. Campers depart from Whitehorse on August 18, and will return to Whitehorse on August 24
Where: Yellowknife, NWT
Who: First Nations students 12-15 living in the Yukon or on reserve in Atlin, Lower Power, or Good Hope Lake, BC
Deadline to apply: 11:59pm on Sunday, June 9th
To apply students must submit the following to the Yukon Regional Office (yteducation@rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca):
- An essay OR creative medium, and completed application form (see Camper Information Package),
- a letter of support from the student’s school,
- a letter of reference from one (1) non-family community member,
- a signed statement of eligibility (see Camper Information Package) and,
- a signed parental permission form (see Camper Information Package).
